The Ragged Kingdom Time Peace Plaid.
This plaid is a part of our limited edition JCRT + RAGGED KINGDOM Collection.
A collaboration using the artworks of the legend, Jamie Reid through his own brand, Ragged Kingdom with partner John Marchant. Each plaid was created as an amalgamation of Jamie Reid’s artworks (xeroxes, poetry, writings and textures) and our own plaidcraft.
A soft all season cotton cotton twill. Individually cut and sewn, all JCRT shirts are made of 100% cotton and feature a locker loop at the center back neck, split yoke for comfortable ease of movement and side gussets for reinforcement. Single needle tailoring throughout with French seam for softer seams. Our crisp collars and cuffs are made using the highest grade German interfacings.
Please visit our Fit Guide above for specific details on each style.
Use a tape measure to find your perfect fit. Go to your closet and grab your favorite shirt.
Lay it down on any flat surface and smooth out the wrinkles. Measure across the chest and waist of your shirt. Double those measurements and compare them to our product measurements.
To check your sleeve length have a friend measure from the center of the back neck to the shoulder tip then down the sleeve to the cuff.
About the collaboration:
The creation of our Never Mind the Bollocks plaids was the initial connection between JCRT with Jamie Reid’s brand, RAGGED KINGDOM which resulted in this collaboration.
Seeing the shirt and coat based on the Sex Pistol’s Never Mind The Bollocks Album cover, Ragged Kingdom reached out via instagram which led to long conversations and creative discussions.
The two plaids are inspired by the iconic Never Mind covers. Jamie Reid’s cover art defined the punk rock era, DIY aesthetic and anarchy like nothing before and nothing since.
Jamie Reid (born 1947) is a British artist and political activist. After leaving Croydon Art College in 1970, he co-founded the radical political magazine Suburban Press, where he developed his unique style of cut-up graphics and slogans. Reid is best known for designing album covers for the British punk rock band the Sex Pistols. These covers featured letters cut from newspaper headlines in the style of a ransom note. The imagery became a defining aesthetic of punk rock, particularly in the United Kingdom. His work is included in international collections including Tate Britain, Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Museum of Fine Art in Houston. Ragged Kingdom is Reid and curator/gallerist John Marchant’s exclusive clothing line. Infamously and forever tied to the Sex Pistols and spirit of punk, Reid’s Label provocatively treads those lines whilst hitting on a very modern message.
